Improving your health can sometimes feel like a daunting task. It’s easy to feel like you have to do a complete makeover of your entire lifestyle. But, improving your health does not have to be so intimidating. In fact, by doing these simple things you can drastically improve your health and even your longevity.
- Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night. It always seems like there is never enough time in a day to get everything done and sometimes getting enough sleep seems like the last thing you can make time for. But the benefits of sleep speak for themselves! Studies have shown that people who get enough sleep are more likely to be at a healthy weight, have a lower risk for diabetes and heart disease, get sick less often, and even feel happier.
- Think Positive. This may seem surprising but your thoughts have a great impact on your physical health. While the reason for this correlation is not clearly defined scientists have theorized that this may be because people who think positively are better at dealing with stressful situations which then puts less stress on your body. This means that being a more positive person can increase your lifespan, lower your chances of depression, give you better physical health and in particular improved cardiovascular health.
- Foster a healthy gut. Like we mentioned in our last blog post gut health is linked to your physical and mental health. But taking care of your gut health doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, a great way to start is by taking Morinda’s Enzyme Blend.
- Add vegetables to your diet. There are so many sources out there telling us about all the many things we need to take out of our diets. This can feel discouraging and even impossible; especially when faced with the temptation of things like your favorite pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! So instead of focusing on what you shouldn’t be eating try instead to focus what you should be eating. Take time to figure out what vegetables you like, and trust me, the more you eat them the more you’ll actually start to crave them!
